The project is located on Houay Yoi stream, a tributary into the Vang Ngao river that eventually joins the Xedon (Sedon) river. Located not too far upriver from Houay Chiad Dam & Reservoir on the Houay Yoi stream
We have info from a 2016 Ministry of Energy and Mines report of a Houay Yoi-Houay Kod hydropower project at 11.2 MW capacity with 56 GWh annual output potential.
A 2020 JICA report verifies the 11.2 MW capacity and describes it as a Run of River project.
A different source in 2024 has a listing for Huay Gnoy-Huay Khot HPP as 15 MW & 65.7 GWh
The project is reportedly under construction in 2024.
We have no info as to the owner or developer of the project at this time.
The project is located in Pakxong District of Champasak Province at coordinates 15°14'19.4"N 106°06'34.6"E (15.238721, 106.109615) as shown in satellite image below.
