The Sepon (Xepon) Lako Wind Power Project is planned to be developed in the Lako key area of Sepon District in Savannakhet Province of Lao PDR.

The project would cover a total area of 28,513 hectares with an installed capacity of 1,200 MW and have an estimated construction cost of $2.16 billion USD.

In mid 2026 we are not sure if this project is still progressing since we have not seen any news or progress reports in the last few months. The project goes back in time at least to year 2022 and may have some connection or continuation with the Savan Vayu Wind Power Project or the Sepon Wind Farm. Much confusion exists and almost no public information is available.

The Sepon (Xepon) Lako Wind Power Project is to be developed in the Ban Lako area of Sepon District of Savannakhet Province. We don't know the precise locations at this time of the various wind towers and facilities but a mid point of Sepon District is at coordinates - 16°47'21.0"N 106°19'29.3"E (16.789167, 106.324806) where we can see many high mountain ridges as in the maps below.
