The Phonsaad Renewable Solar Power Project is located near Ban Phonsaad in Khong District, Savannakhet Province of southern Lao PDR.

The solar farm is under construction in September 2026.

The project is owned and developed by Chaleun Sekong Energy Company Limited (CS Energy).

Project installed capacity is 150 MW(ac) or 186 MW(dc) with annual output of about 293 GWh.

Not sure who the main contractors are or who will offtake the output after completion.

The project includes development of a 45 MW battery power storage system.

The solar project site location is seen at the bottom of map below not far from the Cambodian border.

As of 1 September 2026 the project construction progress is listed in image below - at about 76% overall.

The project will cover about 229 hectares.
